This is SO exciting to me. My only gripe is that this post isn’t episode one of a podcast. It’s almost the 2024 version of episode 1 of StartUp.

Can’t wait.

Also. I would pay you $250 to host an episode of your own podcast. As long as you mentioned a random word of my choosing.

Looking forward to this podcast. Is it a sure thing, or pending some business maneuvering?

This is excellent news, Alex. I look forward to enjoying an AlexG podcast once again. It has been way too long.

Yay! I'm so happy you're doing this.

As a side note, I would point out that Europe is full of talented audio people who you could hire for a smaller sum if money gets tight. I would imagine you have networks of people you'd like to work with and might have doubts about undercutting their pay by outsourcing, but do keep that in mind.

Thank you for going in depth on what is actually going on in the podcast industry with advertising. I hear a lot of my favorite podcasts mentioning that the landscape/market isn’t what it used to be, but I haven’t found anywhere that explained specifically what was going on that’s been causing the change. Excited for your new project! Lots of us are rooting for you! Let me know if you need anything, lol.

Your show will be great! Will your ad company be searching for ad clients who have a particular resonance with your audience? I've heard of some success stories of fairly modest sized podcasts generating high CPMs and good revenues because their ad clients know they've got a great chance of reaching their intended constituency.

Great question. If you know an ad seller that’s in the business of doing that I would love to talk to them

I *think* I heard the anecdote on a Podcast Perspectives episode. I imagine you are already considering The Podglomerate, but if not, I'd have a conversation with them.
